As an independent software developer, I’m creating a real-time fuel price and location app called CheckFuelPrice. Ever been stranded, unsure where the nearest gas station is or how much the fuel costs? This app is the perfect solution, quickly pinpointing the closest gas stations and displaying their current fuel prices using government-issued data.
I’m building a robust platform to address the common challenge of finding affordable fuel on the road, leveraging real-time data.

Personal contribution to this project
Led the initial design for creating a reusable MVC (Model-View-Controller) design based platform leveraging Flask for maximum flexibility and adaptability to diverse client requirements.
Currently maintaining and enhancing the platform whilst updating frontend components that are built with Sass and JavaScript.

MyEyeSite
About project
MyEyeSite is a proof-of-concept platform for patients with rare eye diseases to overcome the challenges of collating and sharing their data with clinicians and for research. Currently rare disease patients’ data is scattered across many different healthcare providers, hindering comprehensive data analysis essential for developing targeted treatments, and making it hard for clinicians to access the information they need for appointments.
MyEyeSite solves this by enabling patients themselves to upload and securely manage their data, including OCT scans, in a personally-owned repository, and share it as they see fit to improve care and accelerate health research.
Personal contribution to this project
I designed and implemented a REST API for patient and clinician interfaces that enables patients to track their progress and securely share information with clinicians. I was also responsible for developing core functionality and implementing robust security measures across patient and clinician portals. This included adding two-factor authentication via SMS for enhanced account protection and safeguarding sensitive health data. Additionally, I developed various audit events necessary for managing sensitive information.
